Some engineering personnel have convenient wiring or convenient purchasing. It is very easy to cause faults by using the network cable to electrically lock the wires of the controller. Although it seems that there is no problem during debugging, after a while, problems will often arise. .
If the line length is less than 50 meters from the electric lock to the controller, a two-core power cord with a cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm2 is required, and no shielding is required. If it exceeds 50 meters, double the power cord of the two cores and supply the power in parallel. If the line length is greater than 100 meters, it is recommended to move the controller closer to the door lock to shorten the wiring distance. The cross-sectional area of the network cable is 0.2 square millimeters, which is 5 times smaller than our standard wire, so it is absolutely impossible, even if the controller is close to the electric lock.
Electric magnetic signal cable, you can use network cable. Some people, the four strands of the network cable, supply power to the electric lock. Although it is theoretically close to the norm, it is not recommended that you do so. Doing so will make the terminals unstable and other hidden dangers.

The actual controller power supply and the lock power supply are separate, but the conservative approach is to connect up to two magnetic locks.)
The controller power supply must use a linear power supply. Because the effective power of the linear power supply is not high, the self-heating is severe, and the effective power is generally 40-70%. The nominal 5A power supply has an effective current of about 3A. However, the linear power supply operates stably with less interference and is suitable for long-term stable operation of equipment. It is the type of power source commonly used at home and abroad access control equipment. Some projects ask whether switching power supply can be used. The power of switching power supply is large and the effective power is high. We do not recommend using switching power supply. Switching power supply generally has high high-frequency ripple, which will affect the stability of the host's operation (especially Is communication). But it can be used as a lock power supply.
For places with strong magnetic interference, use galvanized steel pipes or closed metal trunks for laying and grounding.
